CiviCore Inc. a Public Benefit Corporation "CiviCore" maintains this website, APIs, and its mobile applications (collectively, the "Website") as a service to users of the Website "Users" and individually as "User". We respect the privacy of visitors to our website and understand your concerns about privacy on the Internet and take them seriously.

CiviCore is an approved and registered Colorado Public Benefit Corporation. As such we have a special status among private corporations and unique obligations above and beyond those of other for-profit corporations. Our overriding purpose to make a social impact through technology solutions that improve the use of information in nonprofits, public agencies and other organizations that serve the public good.


The Service is a simple, easy-to-use fundraising application connecting donors and nonprofits.


"Organization" is a charity registered as a 501c3 organization, or a nonprofit sponsored by a 501c3 organization, that meets the criteria defined by the website sponsor for participating in fundraising on this website.

"Foundation" (also a charitable foundation) is a legal category of nonprofit organization that will typically either donate funds and support to other organizations, or provide the source of funding for its own charitable purposes.

"Nonprofit Fundraiser" is a fundraising project created using our Service, to collect money on behalf of a Eligible Organization.

"Fundraising Campaign" is a fundraising project created by an individual user on behalf of Eligible Organization.

"Fundraising Owner" is the individual that created a Fundraising Campaign.

"Donor" is any individual or organization that contributes money to an Eligible Organization.

"Contribution" is any financial transaction that benefits an eligible organization.

"User" is any individual who has accepted the Terms by logging in to the Service through a Login Service or by contributing to a Campaign.

"Payment Provider" is a company that processes Contributions to Organizations.

The technology platform operator is CiviCore Inc. a Public Benefit Corporation and utilizes third-party technology providers including Amazon Web Services,, Braintree Payment Solutions,, Cloudflare, and Incapsula.

The purpose of this website is to promote philanthropy by bringing people together to support nonprofit organizations. Participants in this effort include local sponsors of the website, technology providers, nonprofit organizations, individuals raising funds, employers and donors. Information shared with participants is strictly and expressly limited to data needed to support the purpose and functions of this site.

Nonprofit Participant Policies

We encourage you to visit the privacy policies of each of the technology providers identified and referenced in the contact information of this document. Additionally, each nonprofit has its own policies regarding privacy of donor information. Please contact the nonprofit you contribute to directly to learn about their privacy policies.

The following section explain our privacy policy.


Information you Enter

We receive and store information you enter into our website. You may choose not to provide certain information, but if you do not you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features. On our website we don't collect personally identifiable information about individuals unless they knowingly provide it to us. Once you provide us with personal or professional information, that data is treated as confidential.

Under these circumstances, The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and the nonprofit to which you donate will receive and retain such information as your name, address, email, phone number, date of donation, the amount of the donation, whether the donation is recurring, the frequency of any recurring gifts, any specifications you've made about your gift, and whether you want your gift to be anonymous on the nonprofits' annual reports. The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee shares this information with the nonprofits so that they have the opportunity to send you a thank you letter.

If you enter a special code into the appropriate field at checkout, then, in addition to sharing information as outlined above, The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee may also share this information with the nonprofit organization associated with that special code. Such information may include, but is not limited to, your name, date of donation, the amount of donation, and the nonprofit to which you donated. The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee shares such information with the organizations that have been issued special codes by us, so that the organizations may track progress towards goals, calculate employer matches, and other similar purposes.

If, however, you elect to be "completely anonymous," The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee will still receive and retain the information you entered but charities to which you donate through and the organizations associated with any special codes entered at checkout will not receive such information. Except for The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, the charities to which you donate and the organizations associated with any special codes entered at checkout we will not share any detailed information you provide to us with any other organization. We do, however, share data in an aggregated form, which cannot be traced back to you or otherwise identify you.

Automatically Collected Information
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with the website. This type of information includes: the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; computer and connection information such as browser type, version, and time zone setting; browser plug-in types and versions; operating system; and platform. This information does not include your email address or any other personal or system information, which can only be collected if you voluntarily provide it.


To help us make e-mails more useful and interesting, we often receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from us if your computer supports such capabilities. The information gathered is analyzed on an anonymous, aggregated basis. CiviCore may share this aggregated data with its affiliates, business partners, customers and to other third parties.

Social Networking Integration

CiviCore Services allows you to log into the Services via various social networking services like Facebook or Twitter {"Social Networking Service{s}"}.

As part of such integration, the Social Networking Service will provide us with access to certain information that you have provided to the Social Networking Service, and we will use, store, and disclose such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. It is important that you understand that CiviCore bears no liability or responsibility for the privacy practices or other actions of any Social Networking Services that may be enabled within the Services.

You have the option of posting your Services activities to Social Networking Services. If you choose to use this feature, your friends, followers, and subscribers on any Social Networking Services you have enabled will be able to view such activity.

When you make a donation through, you may receive occasional emails from The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee updating you on nonprofits, noteworthy developments in online philanthropy, and seeking your feedback through surveys. If you do not wish to hear from us, use the unsubscribe feature on these emails or within your online profile. You may also contact us directly.

Credit Card Information

We do not collect, store or otherwise maintain credit card numbers from individuals who make a donation through the website. Donations are processed by our payment processing partners.

Information you post

There are features of our website, such as our fundraising pages that provide users with the option of posting information to the public. Examples, of these types of pages include fundraising pages. The posting of this type of information by users is optional. This information is no longer confidential. The posting of this type of information is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the website. The information may remain viewable in cached and archived pages by CiviCore and third-parties such as Google, Yahoo, Bing and other search engine providers.

This Website has links to other websites including the participating nonprofit organizations websites. We are not responsible for, nor do we have any control over, the privacy practice or the content of such other websites, and we encourage you to learn about the privacy policies of those entities.

We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

Children: CiviCore does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, you are not permitted to use the Services and/or submit any Personal Data through the Services. Anyone using this Site thereby represents that they are age 13 or older.
